The MagicBox II comes in a compact design of a 6 x 2 x 1.6-inch box. Because the manufacturers designed it to be a rugged Bluetooth speaker, there’s nothing fancy about the MagicBox II’s appearance. Nevertheless, it has great looks for its affordable price.
The bottom and top surfaces of the DKnight are made of durable rubber that feels like a stationery eraser. This feature allows it to stay put even when placed on steep surfaces. A meshed metal case houses the body of the main speaker and extends to cover three sides of the speaker. The fourth surface is made of hard plastic and contains a Micro-USB port, an On and Off button, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
On the top surface of the MagicBox are six control buttons that are also made of non-slip rubber. These include the volume up and down buttons, previous and next track buttons, pause and play buttons, and answer/end call buttons. All of these buttons are highly responsive, meaning that you don’t have wait to perform a simple action on your mighty beatbox – everything is instant.
It’s also worth mentioning that you can get the MagicBox in blue, black, grey, and red colors. However, the mesh maintains its black color all through.
The only downside to the DKnight’s design is its mesh. It often picks up dirt and hair that not only makes it look ugly over time but also compromises on the sound quality. The good news is that this can be cleaned easily since the speaker is not magnetic.
One the things that the MagicBox is known for is its powerful sound. It pumps out some serious bass for a speaker of its size.
The small beatbox has 10W acoustic drivers and superb passive bass radiators, allowing you to enjoy bass-packed music at maximum volume with no sound distortions. It’s also equipped with a bass pad to ensure that it stays put when playing heavy music. Compared to its predecessor, the DKnight MagicBox II boasts of a 30% louder volume with a richer bass.
In terms of battery life, the MagicBox does not disappoint. You can enjoy music at top volumes for 10 straight hours. If you play music at medium or low volume, it can surpass manufacturer’s specified battery life by at least one hour. Additionally, you can play music and charge your speaker simultaneously – you will never have to skip a beat because of a low battery.
The only weakness in the performance of this wireless speaker is its microphone. Most users complain that it slightly changes their voice. That aside, the speaker is a great performer.

- Input: 110-240v; Output: 5V / 2A; 6 feet DC Cable;
- UL Listed; Safety Features: High Efficiency and Reliability; Automatic Overload cut-off;
The DKnight MagicBox II boasts of a better Bluetooth connectivity than its predecessor. The speaker’s Bluetooth technology has been upgraded to 4.0, offering you stronger and faster streaming quality. It pairs with all Bluetooth devices, and the connection is easy to establish—no annoying codes or pins.
In addition to its Bluetooth connectivity, the MagicBox supports aux input, courtesy of its 3.5mm auxiliary port. You can also make phone calls using the inbuilt microphone, which has significantly been enhanced by the newly added echo-cancellation chip.
In terms of connectivity, this speaker has – without a doubt – done itself.
Pros and Cons
To recap this DKnight MagicBox II review, let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the music system.
Overall, the DKnight MagicBox II is an absolute steal for its price. It has all the key components of a good speaker— high-quality sound, long battery life, durability, and portability. If you can ignore the minor lapses in design and microphone, this is a great Bluetooth speaker for its price range.
